Steve Bennet

President & CEO

Steve Bennet is the President and Chief Executive Officer of BenComm. He founded the company in 1991, and has since led the company to become the 4th largest Avaya SME Partner in the country. Steve studied economics at the University of Maryland, having earned his B.S. in 1978 and his M.S. in 1980. He has been married for over 20 years and has two children. He is an avid racquetball player and has gone on scuba diving trips all over the world.

Mark Rowe

Chief Operating Officer

After nearly a decade as a customer, Mark Rowe joined BenComm in 2005 and is currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida, earning a B.A. in Communication. He then earned a M.Div. from Regent University, graduating summa cum laude. Mark has a strong, hands-on understanding of the technologies we represent and holds multiple technical certifications including Microsoft Systems Engineer and Security +. Mark has been married for over 20 years and has three children. He often plays racquetball and enjoys skiing.

Jennifer Hecht

Vice President of Business Development

Jennifer Hecht is the Vice President of Business Development and has been with BenComm since 2005. She studied communications, marketing and public relations at Coastal Carolina University, having graduated in 1999. While there, she played #1 singles and doubles tennis, and continues to play competitively today. In her spare time, she writes romantic comedy screenplays.

Chris Billheimer

Field Services Manager

With nearly 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Chris Billheimer is the Field Services Manager for BenComm. He is responsible for overseeing and managing BenComm’s engineering and technical staff. Chris started with us as an engineer in 2006. He is married and spends his spare time playing sports with his son.

Kevin Gerhold

Technology Manager

Having joined BenComm in 2007, Kevin Gerhold has been a huge asset to the company working as the Technology Manager. He has extensive experience in working with the Avaya IP Office and networking, and holds multiple certifications including Network +, Convergence +, Avaya ACSS-SME, Adtran ATSA/UC, and Adtran ATSP/UC. Kevin graduated from Hagerstown Business College in 2003, having earned his associates degree in software programming. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and baseball and working with computers.

Barbara Barnhart

Lead Project Manager

Barbara Barnhart has been with BenComm since 2004 and serves as our Lead Project Manager. Barbara started in the telecommunications industry in 1998 and has extensive experience in project management and in sales. She helps to ensure all new installations go smoothly for our clients. Barbara graduated from Lynchburg College with a degree in business administration. Barbara and her husband have been married for over 20 years with 3 sons. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys traveling with family and friends.

Cindy Butler

Customer Service Manager

Cindy Butler plays an integral role as the company’s Customer Service Manager and is on her second “tour” with BenComm, originally starting with us in 1997. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Political Science and International Affairs. Cindy is married with two children and enjoys reading, boarding animals, and going out with friends.
